Re: manifesting posperity
Thu, March 10, 2005 - 9:21 AMCultural money issues are difficult to overcome. Remember that the saying is "The LOVE of money is the root of all evil." When we love objects above people, trouble always ensues.
I can recommend some really great reading on the subject. It's good to bombard yourself with accurate messages.
Here's a modern book:
Why Women Earn Less, by Mikelann Valterra
And here's a classic:
The Dynamic Law of Prosperity, by Catherine Ponder
Try those on for size. Check Half.com for the Ponder book; you can probably pick it up for a song. There's currently one copy of Valterra's book on Half.com. You can snatch it up if you're quick.
On a personal note, I too have money issues. I've overcome many of them, but I still struggle with it on a cultural level. I come from a long line of poor preachers who felt poverty was noble.
I don't think money is evil, but I feel like I have a very limited earning potential. Money is a big issue for almost everyone, but most people ignore it. One thing I like about New Thought is that they look it right in the face.
